Heidi has spent her career helping companies “move in the right direction” by focusing on, and effecting UPword growth. She has directly achieved growth by exceeding sales targets, pioneering business units, and finding and securing top talent. Additionally, she has trained teams for high performance impact, mentored and coached key individuals, and motivated large groups – positively impacting companies.
Having spent nine years in the fields of consulting & executive search, Heidi is dedicated to bringing her experience to companies who truly live by the concept of “our people are our most important asset” – companies committed to finding and hiring the right people, and developing the right people the right way through productive interactions.
Throughout her twenty-year career, Heidi has learned and used the best and most effective practices in sales, team building, training, and coaching & mentoring - having worked directly for, and achieved numerous performance awards in, Fortune 500 companies: Xerox; Boston Scientific; and EMC. She has earned a reputation for integrity and “doing the right thing”, as well as delivering high-quality service and achieving results while keeping an eye on the bottom-line.

So many people have asked “Why ‘UP-words’ Inc” that I had to include this blurb – thank-you for indulging me…
As a lover of wordplay, I wanted my company name to not only express the impact I planned to have on companies (moving companies in an upward direction – positively effecting growth), but also be descriptive of how that would happen (through “up words”). What do training, development, coaching, and executive search all have in common? Well, they all involve words - words that are impactful – words that lift people up (and sometimes that means being brutally honest!) - words that lead to positive interactions. “UPwords Inc.” said so much more than Upwards Inc., and a company was born.
The next challenge was to create a complementary phrase that embodied the concepts presented on the intro page. How would I blend coaching, training, people development, and executive search into one little phrase? During a brainstorming session with my sister (a great, creative, sounding board), while explaining my frustration I blurted out, “I want to somehow say something about finding the right people and developing the right people the right way – you know…UPwords”. Ahhhh…I realized I had something. Developing the right people the right way.
