Executive Search - The Recruiter
You decide: Recruiter or Headhunter?
Candidates and clients often apologize after they slip and refer to us as “headhunters”. For many, this term has a negative connotation, but according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary the term is pretty “right on” regarding our service level: executives, sales professionals, and business leaders.
- Re•cruit, verb : to secure the services of : engage, hire; re•cruit•er noun
- Head•hunt•er, noun: a recruiter of personnel especially at the executive level

Level of Professionalism
Our recruiters/search professionals/headhunters (take your pick!) are seasoned and tenured business leaders who have had careers prior to executive search in the “people business”. Ranging from high-level sales and management, to entrepreneurs and coaches, our career backgrounds have given us the unique ability to draw on a variety of experiences to attract and secure the best candidates and opportunities.
As headhunters, it is critical we possess a skill-set which includes an advanced questioning technique and a strong “people sense” – both important in understanding the needs of the candidate and the client. We rely heavily on these skills to find and secure the best matches.

Our career experiences make it possible to relate as peers, demonstrating like-mindedness and relate-ability which is important for recruiters (last but not least, the most common term) to build meaningful relationships with candidates and clients.
